Is this a good place for children? I was thinking of taking my 3 year old here for a tea party.
Dawn Shiraef they hold entire tea parties for children. They get to pick out hats and everything! Fun, fun!

Is the afternoon tea served in the traditional english fashion?
I think so.
I want to do ladies tea party on March 21 it is fundraiser for my church St Philip Lutheran Church how do I go about reserving a room for my event
You can go online and set a reservation. If you go that route, I suggest you call to confirm it and share any details you think they should know. Or, you can drop by and make the reservation in person. That way you can take a tour and know ahead of time just how beautiful the rooms are and get a feel for the environment. It is absolutely lovely.
Do you have a small private room available at no charge for a group of about 15 on Sat January 18 11.30-1.30. Order from the menu.
You really need to call the tea room for reservations. Don't try to book online, just call the tea room. They do serve groups and have an upstairs for private events. Sometimes you can order from the menu, if you give them enough notice.
Does the Dent House have a wheel chair ramp
They have a "lift" in the rear of the building. No ramp in front. Call ahead to arrange access with the exterior lift
Do you need reservations
We highly suggest reservations. We aim to serve everyone but advance notice helps us staff adequately and seat everyone promptly.

The Victorian tea was wonderful. Such a nice way to celebrate the holidays. Kristina is a very polite and attentive server. The Christmas tea is excellent.

Went out in a girls trip here with my mom and 2 year old daughter. This was one of the coolest & best things we have ever done together! Also, it made for an amazing day to remember. After we ate, we went to the gift shop and found a beautiful Royal Albert tea set on sale. We went in not knowing anything about tea or the tea sets and needless to say, We are now addicted to Royal Albert and hot tea 😍

I went to shop today at Polly Claire’s gift shop and dropped by the tea house to see, if perchance, they had an available table for one. In spite of the place being practically full and very busy on this holiday, they accommodated me with a lovely table and a delicious lunch! They are the best!
